Expense - Income Report (Pie Chart)

Introduction

This screen allows the retail user to view their expense and income report in Pie Chart format. This format is based on the search criteria specified by the retail user such as: category name, frequency and time range. Only categories which are available for categorization will be considered for expense-income analysis. The retail user can select multiple categories from the given search criteria and would also have an option to select the date range for performing the expense�income analysis. By default, past one year date is pre-populated. For each category, both exact amount and percentage are shown. Two separate pie charts are displayed. One pie chart for categories under income head and another one pie chart for categories under expense head. By default system generates expense-income report (Pie Chart) considering all categories and publishes all the transactions that have taken place under the current month for all categories.

Note:

  • For the fields,

Time period from: This field will have drop-down list values starting from one year old. For example today is 02/10/2010, then drop-down list will have value starting from Nov, 09 till Oct, 10.

Time period To: This field will have drop-down list values starting from one year old. For example today is 02/10/2010, then drop-down list will have value starting from Nov, 09 till Oct, 10.

  • Retail user would not be able to generate any report if the user isn�t linked to any categories.

Navigation

The following is the navigation for this option:

  • Select the Expense - Income Report (Pie Chart) option from Reports drop-down list in Manage Category and Budgeting screen and click the OK button.

or

  • Select the Expense - Income Report (Pie Chart) option from the dropdown of View Reports Tab

  • The Expense - Income Report (Pie Chart) screen is displayed.

What you can do

Category Name

Specify the category name.

Note:

The category name can also be specified using Select Category button. Clicking the Select Category button fetches the list of category.

Time Period From & To

Specify the time period range.

Search the categories based on the search criteria. The result list is displayed on the same screen below.

Clear

Clear the specified values.

Transactions List

Bank Name

The bank name holding the account.

Account Nickname

The nickname for the account.

Account Type

The type of account.

Valid Values:

Savings

Current

Overdraft

Account Number

The account number.

Transaction Date

The date on which the transaction was initiated.

Transaction Remarks

The remarks entered by the user during transaction initiation.

Category

The category of the transaction.

Currency

The currency of the transaction.

Amount Type

Specifies whether the transaction is Debit type (Dr.) or Credit type (Cr).

Amount

The amount of transaction.
